Lisa got her start as a designer, patented inventor and creator in the fashion, toy and film industries. After the early diagnosis of her young children, she entered the world of nonprofit, pilot studies, and advocacy. She then founded and is currently President of the nonprofit CHERAB Foundation.
Lisa developed the patented nutritional composition IQed which now holds 4 patents and patents pending on the composition. She co-author of the peer-reviewed published study "Results of a Consumer Survey on the Effectiveness of a Nutritional Blend Reported on Autism Spectrum Disorder Symptoms, Apraxia, and Other Conditions Involving Motor and Speech Delays".
She began her crusade in philanthropy as the result of the challenges she faced with her two young boys, now ages 22 and 24. In spite of the severity of both diagnoses her sons were mainstreamed in school and are doing wonderfully today. Lisa also co-authored The Late Talker, St Martin’s Press 2003, with Dr. Marilyn Agin, a neurodevelopmental pediatrician and Medical Director for NYC Early Intervention, and Malcolm Nicholl, an international journalist. Since publication, it remains the bestselling book of its kind.
Lisa has been serving as a parent advocate on an AAN Immunization Panel since 2015 and is a member of CUE through Cochrane US. Lisa is currently working on a second book, The Late Talker Grows Up and serves as a Late Talkers, Silent Voices executive producer. She has a passion for exercise, healthy living, whole food nutrition and lives on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
